In order to enhance the durability of the hinge and lessen the friction between the sliding bars, one of the bars has been wrapped with nylon.
Durability of the hinge has been proven by opening and closing test 50,000 times. The hinges have been tested against the requirements of British Standard BS6375-2:2009 with satisfactory results.
